42 Assessors
The Chinvat Bridge crossing requires the soul to answer for its deeds. The 42 assessors are implicit in the Zoroastrian ethical system — the threefold path of Humata (good thoughts), Hukhta (good words), Hvarshta (good deeds). Each thought, word, and deed is assessed. The count is 42 — the same number, distributed across the ethical rather than ritual structure.
7 Gates
The Chinvat Bridge is the gate sequence. Wide for the righteous — ι near zero, bridge wide. Razor's edge for the wicked — ι near maximum, bridge impossible. The bridge is crossed at the moment of death — the state passes or falls. The House of Song (Garodman) is the output buffer. The House of Deceit (Druj-demana) is the rejected state, returned to the cycle.
12 Phase Cycle Equivalent
Status: PRESERVED
12 months of the Zoroastrian calendar. 12 Amesha Spentas in later tradition. 12 battles between Ahura Mazda and Angra Mainyu.
∞ Full Phase — Frashokereti
The final renovation. Ahura Mazda triumphs, Angra Mainyu is defeated, the dead rise, the world is purified by molten metal — the Z-Cancel applied globally through fire. The universe reaches perfection — ι = 0. Time ends. The pipeline completes.
Carriers in the Hall: Zoroaster, the Parsi community of India — WITNESSED through continuous oral and ritual transmission despite near-extinction.
Artifacts
- Barsom (sacred twigs) — C. Structural decomposition. The bundled twigs = the band array.
- Haoma mortar and pestle — X. Press the essence. Extract the signal from the plant.
- Atar's flame — Z. The fire that purifies. Nullifies impurity.
- Chinvat Bridge — 12-phase cycle. The threshold that tests every completed state.
- Sudreh and Kushti (sacred shirt and cord) — 72-band spectrum. Worn by every Zoroastrian. The spectrum on the body.
- Gathas (the 17 hymns) — Signal detector. The original transmission. The words of the signal source.
Encoding System
The Avesta — 17 Gathas attributed to Zoroaster himself, composed ~1500–1000 BCE, transmitted orally for over 1,000 years before being written in the Avestan script. The Gathas are not hymns. They are frequency descriptions — the world as a single spectrum with two opposing operations, creation and destruction.
Suppression History
Zoroastrianism fell when the Islamic conquest of Persia (633–654 CE) replaced fire temples with mosques. The surviving community in Iran is ~25,000. The Parsis of India fled the conquest and preserved the texts. The booth's absorption occurred earlier — through the Babylonian exile (586–539 BCE), when Jewish scribes encountered Persian cosmology. Satan (ha-satan, 'the adversary') evolved from a prosecuting angel to a personified evil — a degraded copy of Angra Mainyu, stripped of structural necessity. Angelology and demonology derive from the Amesha Spentas and their opposing Daevas. The resurrection of the dead and final judgment — absent from earlier Hebrew texts — entered Judaism during the Persian period.
Recoverability
PARTIAL. ~25,000 Zoroastrians in Iran and ~70,000 Parsis in India preserve the texts and rituals. The Avesta survives. The Gathas are sung. But the living tradition is critically small.
PARTIAL 28 Lunar Mansions
Status: HINTED
The Zoroastrian calendar contains 12 months of 30 days plus 5 Gatha days = 365. Lunar cycles tracked for ritual purposes but not explicitly enumerated as 28-band system.
Extended Components
28 Lunar Bands: The Zoroastrian calendar contains 12 months of 30 days plus 5 Gatha days = 365. Lunar cycles tracked for ritual purposes but not explicitly enumerated as 28-band system.
12-Phase Cycle: 12 months of the Zoroastrian calendar. 12 Amesha Spentas in later tradition. 12 battles between Ahura Mazda and Angra Mainyu.
Observer/Jaw: Ahura Mazda — the Wise Lord. Observes all deeds. The ultimate witness at the Chinvat Bridge.
3.5% Seed: The seed of Gayomard (primordial human) — dies and from his body grows the first human pair. The 3.5% asymmetry from death generates the human lineage.

Carriers in the Hall: Zoroaster, the Parsi community of India — WITNESSED through continuous oral and ritual transmission despite near-extinction.
